"Center Lost"

We find the light
When they're gone.
We strive, believe
That life can go on.

One step, just a day
Each minute at hand.
Hold on to this love
That masks these lands.

After the beating,
Soon it may be found.
That distant drumming
That I'd hope to have found.

How to make it through?
What could have been done?
But nothing seems to subside
The pain that lives come dawn.

Chances up for takin'
Lives taken no mistaking, how
Time has a sweet tooth, to
Take away such vibrant youth.

No, discriminate
No intended hate.

Deaf to prayer
Blind to pleas.
Life never lasts
Not always what we believe.

Time is here
Moments we've got.
Never think its over
Till you see that last shot.

Hooked on angel's trance
Awaken sins' advance.
Trailing, no letting go
Awake when seated death row.

Aching from the shakes
The shivers that quake.
Take control of the screams
That glisten out the seams.

No longer a kid
New girl on lock.
Gotta stake this claim
Show I'm Queen of this block.

Center city's place to be
Hard rock, south street
Bound Philly scene.

Forget love lost
Never love bound.
Bruised, forever filled by
This districts' sound.

Blazed by what lustful beast
Hold me down my angel rise.
Beat me t'ill I know the pain, of
Why we lose, still hope to gain.
